Keymap
AssignakeymapfromROMtothecurrentlayer.Keymapsarecollectionsofsamplesassigned
tonoteandvelocityranges.WiththeKeymapparameterselected,presstheEditbuttontoenter
theKeymapeditor(seeTheKeymapEditor on page 14‐1fordetails.)
Transpose (Xpose)
Transposethecurrentkeymapupasmuchas127semitones(tenoctavesandaperfectfifth)or
downasmuchas128semitones(tenoctavesandaminorsi xth).
Key Tracking (KeyTrk)
ThisisoneofthesixcommonDSPcontrolparameters.OntheKEYMAPpage,keytracking
affectstheintervalbetweennotes.Thedefaultvalueof100cents(acentisahundredthofa
semitone)givesyouthenormalsemitoneintervalbetweeneachnote.Highervaluesincreasethe
interval;lowervalues
decreaseit.Negativevalueswillcausethepitchtodecreaseasyouplay
highernotes.
Whenyoumakechangestothisparameter,you’llneedtokeepinmindthatKeyTrkonthe
KEYMAPpageworksinconjunctionwithKeyTrkonthePITCHpage.Therefore,you’llneedto
checktheKeyTrkvalue
onbothpagestoseehowkeytrackingworkswithinaprogram.Unless
you’relookingfornonstandardnoteintervals,thevaluesoftheKeyTrkparametersonthe
PITCHandKEYMAPpagesshouldaddupto100cents.
