LatchdetermineshowtheArpeggiatorrespondstonoteswhentheyaretriggered.
KeysmeansthattheArpeggiatorplaysonlywhileyouareholdingoneormorekeysdown(or
notetriggerson).Asyouplaydifferentnotes,theygetaddedtotheArpeggiator,andasyou
releasenotes,theygettaken
out.IfyouplaynotesfasterthantheArpeggiatorscurrenttempo,
eachsubsequentnotewillbeaddedtothearpeggiationatthenextdivisionofabeat.Thiscan
causealagbetweenthetimeyouplaythenoteandthetimeyouhearitinthearpeggiation.
Inthenext
threemodes,theArpeggiatorlatchesnotesonlywhenMIDIController157(Latch)
sendsavalueofOn(64orhigher).Aneasywaytoexperimentwiththesemodesistoassignthe
ModWheeltosendMIDI157.
InOverplaymode,theArpeggiatorlatchesanynotesthatarebeingheldwhen
Latchturnson,
andcontinuesplayingthem,evenafteryouletthemgo,untilLatchturnsoff.Anynotesthatyou
playafterLatchisalreadyondonotgetarpeggiated,evenifthey’reinthearpeggiationrange.
Arpegissimila r:any notesheldwhenLatchgoesonarelatchedand
arpeggiated,andkeep
goinguntilLatchgoesoff.Anynotesyouplayoutsidethearpeggiationrangeplaynormally.
Notesthatyouplayinsidethearpeggiati onrangedonotplaynormally;rather,ifyouholdthem
on,theybecomepartofthearpeggiation.Theydropoutofthearpeggiationassoon
asyou
releasethem.
LikeOverplayandArpeggiation,AddmeansthatallnotesbeingheldwhenLatchgoesonget
latched,andkeepplayinguntilLatchgoesoff(evenifyou’vereleasedthenotes).Anynotesyou
playafterLatchisalreadyonalsogetlatched.
