Ring Modulation
Ringmodulationmultipliestwosignals(the“carrier”andthe“modulator”)togethertoproduce
unusual,oftennon‐harmonic,overtones.TheRingModulatoralgorithminthePC3Khastwo
modes:“L*R”inwhichtwomonosignalsaremodulatedtogether;and“Osc”,inwhichthe
inputisstereo,anditismodulated
withthesumoffivewaveformsthataregeneratedfrom
oscillatorswithinthealgorithmitself.Fouroftheseoscillatorsaresine waves,whileone
(Oscillator1)offersaselectionofwaveforms.
Wet/Dry .Whenthealgorithmisin“L*R”mode,thiscontrolshowmuchoftheleftsignalonlyis
passeddry
(therightsignalisn’tpasseddryatall).
ModModeselectsbetweenthetwomodes.
Osc1LvlisthelevelofOscillator1,from0to100%.
Osc1FreqisthefrequencyofOscillator1,from16to25088Hz.
Osc1ShapeisthewaveshapeofOscillator1,selectablefromSine,Saw+,

Osc1PlsWid(PulseWidth).WhenOsc1ShapeissettoPulse,thissetsthepulsewidthasa
percentageofthewaveformperiod.Whenthewidthissetto50%,theresultisasquarewave.
