InfinDecay,whenturned“On”,causesthereverbtailtodecayindefinitely.Whenit’s“Off”,the
decaytimeisdeterminedbythe“RvrbTime”or“LateRvbTim”parameters.Thisisagood
parametertocontrolwithafootswitch.
WetBal(WetBalance).Somereverbalgorithmsareactuallytwostereoreverbsinone,with
each
onereceivingadifferentmonosignal.Thisbalancestheoutputsofthetworeverbs—0%means
theyarebeingmixedequally.
Delays
TherearetwotypesoftapsintheMultitapdelays:The“Loop“tap,whichhasafeedbackloop
backtoitsinput,andthenumberedtaps.Thenumberedtapscanbesingleiterationsortheycan
repeataspartofaloop,buttheydonothaveindividualfeedbackpaths.
Fdbk
(Feedback)LevelcontrolstherepeatingfunctionoftheLoopTap.Asettingof0%means
therewillonlybeasingledelay,whileasettingof100 %meansthesignalkeepsrepeating
withouteverstopping.
Bothtypesoftapsareindividuallyadjust ablefrom0to2.55seconds.TheLoopCrsand
Tapn
Crs(nbeingthenumberofthetap)parameterssetthecoarsevalueoftheloopin20‐ms
increments,whiletheLoopFineandTapnFineparameterssetthefinevaluein0.2‐ms
increments.
InDelayalgorithmsthatusetempotodeterminetaplengths,thereisa
Tempoparameterwhich
canbesetfrom1to255BPMorto“System”.TheLoopLengthandTapnDelaysarethen
expressedinbeatsrelativetothatoverallTempo.
Holdisaswitchthat,whenturnedon,“locks”anysignalcurrentlyinthedelayandplaysit
untilHold
isturnedoff.WhenHoldison,nosignalcanenterthedelayandFeedbackissetto
100%.Agoodparametertocontrolwithafootswitch.
DryBal(Balance)istheleft/rightbalanceofthedrysignal.At‐100%,onlytheleftdrysignal
goestotheleftoutput,while
at100%onlytherightdrysignalpassestotherightoutput,andat
0%,equalamountsoftheleftandrightdrysignalspasstotheirrespectiveoutputs.
TapnLevelisthelevelofeachnumberedtap,from0%to100%,relativetotheoveralloutputof
theeffect.
Tapn
Balistheleft/rightbalanceofeachofthenumberedtaps.At‐100%,onlytheleftchannelof
tapngoestotheleftoutput,whileat100%onlytherightchanneloftapngoestotheright
output.At0%,equalamountsoftheleftandrightchannels
ofthetappasstotheirrespective
outputs.Insomedelays,pairsoftaps(1and5,2and6,etc.)arecontrolledtogetherasstereo
pairs.
DelayScaleletsyouchangethelengthsofallthetapstogether.Itsrangeis0to10x.
NotethatitispossibleforthePC3K
torunoutofdelaymemorywithover‐generoussettingsof
DelayScaleorveryslowTempos.SomeDelayalgorithmswillsimplygotoamaximumvalue
andstaythere,whileinsome,acalculationismadethatautomaticallycutsthedelaytimesin
half,therebymaintainingarelationshipwithtempo.
Complex Echo
Thisalgorithmhastwofeedbacktapsperchannelaswellasthreeindependenttaps,andalsoa
feedbackdiffuserfor“smearing”thedelays.Feedbackline1feedsthesignalbacktothe delay
inputofthesamechannel, whilefeedbackline2feedsthesignalbacktotheoppositechannel.
