LoVelandHiVelsettheminimumandmaximumvelocitylimitsthatthecurrentzonetransmits.
Akeystrokeinthecurrentzonewhosevelocityafterithasbeenscaledandoffsetisbelow
theminimumdoesnotgenerateaNoteOn.Neitherdoesakeystrokewhosevelocityafter
processingis
abovethemaximum.Theseparametersareusefulfor“velocityswitching”—
havingakeyplaydifferentsoundsdependingonhowhardyoustrikeit.
Thevaluescanbeanywherefrom1to127.Aswithotherparameters,zonescanoverlaporbe
totallydiscrete,orbeidentical.Usually,LoVelwillhavea
smallervaluethanHiVel,but aswith
LoKeyandHiKey,youmayalsocreateagapinvelocityresponse,bysettingnegativerangesfor
velocity.
