ANZACS BISCUITS
Ingredients
100g golden syrup
130g unsalted butter
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tbsp boiling water
80g dark brown sugar
105g rolled oats
155g plain flour
60g caster sugar
55g desiccated coconut
Preparation
1) Pre-heat oven to 160°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
2) Place golden syrup and butter into the bowl and process for

3) Add bicarbonate of soda and boiling water to the bowl and mix for

4) Add remaining ingredients and knead for
Time: 20seconds Speed:1
5) Scrape down sides of the bowl with the spatula. Place walnut sized balls of mixture onto prepared
trays and gently flatten, allowing space for spreading. Bake in pre-heated oven for 10 minutes or until
biscuits are golden.
6) Take out of oven and allow to cool on tray for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Biscuits
will harden as they cool.
