5.1 Preparations Before Usage
The BP4610 can be controlled via USB488. Almost all the panel operations can be performed this way,
and setting values, errors, and other internal status information can also be read.
Install the USB488 driver to the computer to be used for control and connect it via a commercially
available USB cable. The USB488 driver can be downloaded from the NF website
(http://www.nfcorp.co.jp/).
• USB ID setting
Refer to “4.8 Remote Control”.
• The USB connector is located on the rear panel.
• Set the USB ID after making sure it is correct. If the USB ID is incorrect, control from the computer
is not possible. Moreover, if the USB ID is the same as that of another device within the same system,
faults may occur in the computer.
• USB is an interface that assumes use in a relatively favorable environment. Use of this interface in a
place with current fluctuations or high noise level should be avoided.
