2.3 Grounding and Power Supply Connection
2.3.1 Grounding
To prevent the risk of electric shock, observe the following points.
The BP4610 uses a line filter. The leakage current is a maximum of 0.5 mArms at 250 V and 62 Hz, and
touching metal parts with one’s hands may cause electric shock. Therefore, be sure to ground the BP4610
for safe use.
Before connecting the output terminal, be sure to connect the protective grounding terminal.
The protective grounding terminal of the BP4610 is the grounding terminal of the supplied 3-terminal
electric cord.
Be sure to insert the power supply plug in a 3-terminal power supply outlet that has a protective
grounding contact.
2.3.2 Power supply
Before connecting the BP4610 to a power supply, make sure that the voltage of the power supply outlet
falls within the power supply voltage range of the BP4610, as an out-of-range voltage may damage the
BP4610.
The power supply conditions of the BP4610 are as follows.
Voltage: 90 V AC to 250 V AC
Frequency: 47 Hz to 63 Hz (single phase)
Max. power consumption: 1,200 V AC (in case of 100 V AC supply voltage)
Use the supplied power supply cord set when connecting the BP4610 to a power supply outlet.
The power supply cord for use in Japan provided with the BP4610 is designed for use with this
product only. Do not use it for other products or applications.
Be careful about which power supply outlet the power supply cord is connected to and the routing
of the cables so as not to disconnect the power supply cord by mistake.
This product contains high-voltage parts. Absolutely never remove its cover.
All internal inspections of this product are to be performed only by service technicians well trained in
hazard control.
