Starting up and shutting down the
controller
Take the following steps to start up the controller:

Start up the Océ 9600 controller

Turn on the controller and the screen.
After the initial controller system test, the Queue Manager, System Control
Panel, Settings Editor and Scan Manager applications are automatically started
and the Océ 9600 is ready for operation.
Note:
The Queue Manager and the System Control Panel applications are
visible on the screen; however, the Settings Editor is minimized in order to save
screen space.
Take the following steps to shut down the controller:

Shut down the Océ 9600 controller

Go to the System Control Panel application.

Select the ‘Shutdown’ option from the ‘System’ menu.

Confirm shutdown by clicking on the ‘Yes’ button in the ‘Shut down’ window.
The system automatically performs the shutdown procedure for the controller.
Finally, the Windows NT ‘Shutdown Computer’ window appears, which
informs you that you can turn off your computer.
Note:
You can now restart the controller by pressing the ‘Restart’ button.

Turn off your computer and display.
Note:
The Océ 9600 has a sleep mode (see page 182). The sleep mode turns off
most of the power supply after a certain time of inactivity.
