The connection to a controller
The Océ 9600 applications are not only available locally or on the controller,
but are also delivered as remote or client versions (except for Scan Manager).
This means that users can access one or more Océ 9600 systems from their own
computer.
Anonymous users can view the status of both their jobs (Queue Manager) and
the entire system (System Control Panel). This way they can, for instance,
determine which queue is shortest and send their jobs there to avoid lengthy
delays.
From a management point of view, the availability of remote versions of the
applications is quite useful as well. The remote applications allow key
operators and system administrators to manage multiple Océ 9600 systems
from a single location. They can centrally monitor the system status and
identify potential problems without having to work at the controller itself.
When the Océ 9600 Queue Manager has been installed on a remote client, the
Connect to option is available in the File menu.

If the system you want to connect to is not available in the list, you can
click on the Edit... button. A dialogue box will appear which allows you to
manually add a O9600 system. For this you need a valid IP address.
