Custom scan length
Description
The ‘Custom scan length’ option allows you to select the
length that will be scanned.
This is useful if the original has an arbitrary length. This set-
ting will overrule the automatically detected original format.
The setting is used in combination with ‘Scan length meth-
od’.

40 –590.55 inches

Original type
Description
Select the type of original that you want to scan from the fol-
lowing range:
- Lines / text
- Grays & lines
- Dark original
- Blueprint
- Printed matter
- Photo

Background compensation
Description
Use this function to automatically compensate the original
background.
The compensation depends on the original type. For ‘photo’
or ‘Grays & lines’ originals, the background compensation
will be fixed. For other original types, the compensation will
be adaptive.
