8. Carefully install the shift yoke assembly into the
gearcase.
9. Install the shift yoke as
sembly with the shift return
springs (C), facing down in the housing.
10. Install the lock pin assembly and tighten.
11. Install the differential assembly into the gearcase
hou
sing.
12. Assemble the gearcase halves and install the bolts
th
at secure the cover to the housing. Torque the bolts
in a criss-cross pattern to 23-27 ft-lbs (31-37 Nm).
13. If previously removed, insta
ll the differential solenoid.
Torque the solenoid to 30-40 ft-lbs (41-54 Nm).
