13. Inspect the bearing for wear. Spin the bearing, if the
bearing does not spin smoothly, replace it. To replace
the bearing, remove the snap ring from the end of the
shaft and press the bearing off the shaft.
14. Inspect the cam (helix) assembly bushing for wear. If
th
e bushing is worn or the shaft does not fit snug into
the bushing, replace the cam (helix) assembly.
15. Inspect the clutch sheave
s for excessive wear or
damage.
Bushing Service
IMPORTANT: Special Tools Required

h Bushing Replacement Tool Kit (PN 2871226)
NOTE: Bushings are installed at the factory using
Loct
ite
609. In order to remove bushings it will be
necessary to apply heat evenly to the area around
each bushing. Clean all residual Loctite
from
bushing bore prior to installing new bushing.
