2. Remove the crankcase drain plug

to drain any oil
remaining in the engine.
3. Remove the oil filter.
4. Install the Cylinder Holding & Camshaft Timing Plate

onto the cylinder. The cylinder holding
tool retains the cylinder and pistons when the engine
is rotated.
5. Rotate engine to access the crankcase sump cover.
6. Remove the thirteen M6

and three M8

bolts
retaining the sump cover to the crankcase.
7. Remove the sump cover

from the crankcase.
8. Remove and clean oil pump pick-up

by removing
the one bolt

9. Remove the three bolts

that retain the oil pump

to the crankcase.
