VOLTAGE REGULATOR FUSIBLE LINK
There is a fusible link on this vehicle, located on the
pigtail coming off the starter solenoid hot post, that
protects the system from extended voltage spikes from
the regulator / charging system.
To check the fusible link, turn the key on and disconnect
the voltage regulator power/ground connector. You
should see battery voltage on the RED wire if the fusible
link is good.
