TORQUE
Steering Shaft Pinch Bolt:
15 ft-lbs (20 Nm)
7. Install the fasteners that retain the steering column.
Torque fasteners to specification.
TORQUE
Steering Column Asm Fasteners:
40 ft-lb (54 Nm)
8. Install the fastener retaining the upper portion of the
steering wheel tilt shock to the pivot tube. Torque
fastener to specification.
TORQUE
Tilt Shock Bolt:
7 ft-lb (10 Nm)
9. Be sure the front wheels are facing straight forward.
Remove the steering wheel and align as needed.
Apply Loctite
®

™
. Torque the steering wheel nut to
specification.
TORQUE
Steering Wheel Nut:
65 ft-lbs (88 Nm)
10.Install steering wheel cap and field test steering
operation.
