10. Set DIP switch SW1-7 for either local or remote control.
If you plan to access the RFL VF-5A remotely, place SW1-7 in the ON position. If
you will be using the RFL VF-5A under local control, place SW1-7 in the OFF
position.
11. Set DIP switch SW1-8 to turn service on or off.
When SW1-8 is in the ON position, service is off. If the RFL VF-5A is under local
control, the module is disabled. When SW1-8 is in the OFF position, service is on.
If the RFL VF-5A is under local control, the module is enabled.
12. Set DIP switches SW2-1 through SW2-8 for the desired amount of Channel 2 receive
attenuation.
Each section of SW2 controls a specific amount of attenuation:
SW2-1 0.1 db
SW2-2 0.2 dB
SW2-3 0.4 dB
SW2-4 0.8 dB
SW2-5 1.5 dB
SW2-6 3.0 dB
SW2-7 6.0 dB
SW2-8 12.0 dB
Switch settings are cumulative. For example, to set the attenuation to 19.0 dB, set
the switches as follows:
