To set the attenuation to 7.6 dB, set the switches as follows:

13. Set DIP switches SW3-1 through SW3-8 for the desired amount of Channel 2 transmit
attenuation.
The settings for SW3 are the same as for SW2. (See step 12.)
14. Set DIP switches SW4-1 through SW4-8 for the desired amount of Channel 1 receive
attenuation.
The settings for SW4 are the same as for SW2. (See step 12.)
15. Set DIP switches SW5-1 through SW5-8 for the desired amount of Channel 1 transmit
attenuation.
The settings for SW5 are the same as for SW2. (See step 12.)
16. Select any unused time slot(s) using DIP switches SW6-1 through SW6-5.
SW6-1 through SW6-5 select the transmit time slot assignment, using the binary
code shown in Table 3 on page 12 of this Instruction Data Sheet.
17. Set DIP switch SW6-6 to select the bus on which the RFL VF-5A is to transmit and receive.
Place SW6-6 in the ON position to transmit on A and receive on B. Place SW6-6 in
the OFF position to transmit on B and receive on A.
18. Set DIP switch SW6-7 to enable or disable E&M signaling per AT&T Publication 43801.
Place SW6-7 in the ON position to enable E&M signaling. Place SW6-7 in the OFF
position to disable E&M signaling.
19. DIP switch SW6-8 is not used. Leave it in the OFF position.
20. Set DIP switch SW6-9 to control the BUSY 1 output.
Place SW6-9 in the ON position for normal operation. To enable BUSY OUT
(OFF-HOOK) on Channel 1, place SW6-9 in the OFF position.
