TESTING
When the RFL Status Modules have been configured and installed they should be tested for proper
operation before they are placed in service.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
DC power supply with a +5Vdc output
Volt Ohm Meter
TEST PROCEDURE
1. Install the boards in accordance with the required configuration.
2. Check the Alarm Status LED (DS17). It should be OFF. If the LED is ON, the board
configurations are incorrect. Using the SCB recheck all board configuration parameters (P -
codes) as shown in table 3.
3. Check the input states by connecting +5Vdc across the positive and negative terminals
respectively to simulate an active logic 1 input.
4. Check the relay outputs by connecting an ohmmeter across the corresponding output terminals.
the relay contacts will be opened or closed depending on the module configuration. For
example if the input = logic 1, and if the output polarity = normal, then the output relay
contacts will be closed.
5. Confirm the card status (S - codes) via the RS232 using Table 4 as a guide, as follows:
Verify that the remote status messages (S01 and S02) correspond to the test inputs and outputs
for I/Os 1-8 and 9-16.
Verify that the remote status messages (S03) are in accordance with the following:
Address should be valid (Address bit = 1)
Data should be valid (Data bit = 1)
Outputs should be unlocked if SW2 is in the DOWN position.
