READING PARAMETER SETTINGS
The "D" command tells the MA-490 to send a list of all parameter settings to your terminal. This list of
settings is called the "read settings" menu.

A typical read settings menu appears in Figure 15. These settings cannot be changed in this menu. To
change these values, you will have to enter the programming mode. (See page 16 for more
information.) The programming mode is password-protected, so only authorized persons can change
the MA-490's parameter settings.

VIEWING THE SOFTWARE VERSION
The "F" command tells the MA-490 to send a software version display to your PC or laptop. This
display tells you what software version is being used in the MA-490. This parameter cannot be
changed by the user and is for display only.

The software version display shows the code number for each item, and, and its value. Full
descriptions for each item are as follows:
001 – Type This identifies the basic model and configuration of the system (MA-490)
002 – Firmware This gives the version number of the software presently running in the MA-
490 module.
