HOW TO ACCESS THE IMUX 2000 USING TELNET
1. Open NMS version 10.3.
2. Click on the “New” Icon.
3. Change the “Com1” connection to “TCP”.
4. Click on the “NetView” Icon.
5. Click on the upper left empty box. This will bring you to the “Display/Change Node” window.
6. Enter a name in the “Site ID” box. This entry is optional.
7. Change the node address to match the Common Module address in the IMUX 2000 that you
want to communicate with.
8. A default IP address will be displayed. Change the default IP address to match the IP address of
the MA-490 Telnet I/O that you want to communicate with.
9. Change the “Node Type” to match the node type where the MA-490 is located. For example if
the MA-490 is located at a Terminal node, then change the Node type to “Terminal”.
10. You can now access the node using NMS through the MA-490. Refer to Section 7 of the
IMUX 2000 Instruction Manual for guidance on how to use NMS.
