HOW TO ACCESS THE RFL 9745 USING TELNET

1. From your desktop, click on Start, Programs, Accessories, Communications, HyperTerminal.

2. Setup a new connection.

3. Connect using TCP/IP (Winsock).

4. Enter the “Host address” which is the IP address of the 9745 Telnet I/O (MA-490).

5. The MA-490 will always use “Port number 23”.

6. Click on “OK”.

7. The software will indicate “Connection Established”.

8. Hit “Enter” to bring you to the “9745>” menu.

9. You can now access the node using APRIL through the MA-490. Refer to Section 6 of the RFL

9745 Instruction Manual for additional information.
