RFL Electronics IMUX Ap-Note 14.
FACTORY RESET.
The Factory Reset command is available from the "hidden menu group" of
the front-panel controls. To access it, scroll through available groups with
the upper toggle switch (GROUP) until reaching menu DIAG. While still
depressing GROUP switch, press the lower toggle (SET) to enter the hidden
group.
Factory Reset pertains only
to Common Module configuration. Its execution
brings certain major items to their default values. Generally, this includes
configuration items affecting DS1 port, except SIO (serial I/O parameters)
and node address.
Factory Reset command affects only the configuration of module to which it
is issued. Drop-and-Insert A and Drop-and-Insert B are programmed
separately and thus must be reset separately.
Factory Reset does not
perform a microprocessor reset and does not affect
the programming of individual channel modules.
Typically, Factory Reset will be used to bring a Common Module of unknown
provenance to a known state. This may be the case in service situation,
where a spare Common Module may have been previously used elsewhere
and is programmed to an incompatible configuration.
Factory Reset sets up the following profile of the Common Module:
