Tomtec recommends a Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PM) once a year by a
trained service engineer.
Routine & Preventive Maintenance by Operator
Keep the tops of the stages, stacker, and shuttle clean on a continual basis.
Clean any spilled liquid promptly so it will not dry on moving parts.
1.0 Lubrication Kit
Enclosed with the Quadra 4 is a tool designed to help insure optimum positive seal of
the pipetting tips. It is used to lubricate the “O” rings on each tip pin with a small
amount of mineral oil. It will not come into contact with your sample or reagents, but
will assist in the loading and sealing of all 96 tips.
1.1 Items included in the Tip Pin Lubrication Kit:
a.Tip Pin Lubrication Tool
b. Bottle of Mineral Oil with Squirt Top (enough for two fillings of the tool)
