3.8 External Device
This function utilizes AC-3's & AC-4's I/O to control or monitor an external device.

There are no requirements to run this step.
Remarks
External Device Channel
The Quadra 4 has two dedicated external control channels. Quadra 4 User
Defined Outputs
Contact OUT Action
The user can select to do nothing, No Action, toggle the contact, Contact Closed,
Contact Open, or toggle the contact with a timed pause, Contact Closed, Pause,
Contact Open.
Contact IN Action
The user can select to do nothing, No Action, wait for a contact to close, wait for
a specified time for the contact to close, wait for the contact to open, or wait for a
specified time for the contact to open.
Pause/Wait Time
Pause time is used for the Contact Out, Wait time for the Contact In. Both timers
have a 90 minute, 3600 second maximums.
A message can also be displayed if the Contact Out/Contact In times are greater
than 6 seconds.
