10.1 File Management – Plate & Fixture Databases
The Quadra 4 uses two files to control stage heights. The plate database,
Q4PLATEDB.DAT, contains the plate and reservoir information, while the fixture
database, Q4FIXTUREDB.DAT, contains nest, tip jig, tips, wash station, and other
Labware.
The plate and fixture databases can be shared by multiple Quadra 4's. To do this the
Quadra 4's have to be networked with a central location for the databases. Note that
this location can be write protected using windows file management (Sharing &
Security).
