6. CONVENIENCE FUNCTIONS
6.1.1 CONNECTING PERIPHERAL DEVICES
Connect the peripheral devices as shown below.
• Connect devices complying with UL60950/UL60950-1, UL60601-1 or IEC60950/
IEC60950-1 to the CV system. Ask the authorized Topcon representative service
engineer to connect the device.
• Connect the communication cable to the serial terminal of the personal computer.
Refer to the instruction manual of your personal computer for details.
To connect two or more CV-5000, connect the personal computer to which CV-5000 is connected
through the LAN cable. To connect the devices in any other configuration except the above figure,
contact the service engineer.
CAUTION
Install the devices (RM, CL and others) to be connected out of the CV-
5000 patient's environment.
