5. OPERATION FOR TESTS
5.2.4 HORIZONTAL PHORIA MEASUREMENT (PRISM SEP-
ARATION)
Measure horizontal phoria of the patient by using the chart where characters are arranged on one
vertical line.
1 Select the chart where characters are positioned on one vertical line.
To perform the horizontal phoria measurement (prism separation), select the icon of the
chart where characters are positioned on one vertical line on the chart page.
If this icon does not exist on the chart page, click the [Examination list] button to display
"Examination list".
Touch the [Prism] tab and select "[F] Lateral Phoria (Von Graefe) [#8]" from "Exam list".

In far-point test, the chart where the characters are arranged on one vertical line or the
visual acuity chart to which the vertical mask is applied is set.
In near-point test, set a proper target from the near-point card targets manually.
