5. OPERATION FOR TESTS
5.1.3 ASTIGMATISM TEST
Search for the approximate astigmatic correction value of the patient.
1 Prepare for the test.
Before beginning this test, carry out the following operation:
Set the cylinder axis "180" and cylinder power "0.00". Perform fogging in the plus direc-
tion and then shift the power in the minus direction. Adjust the spherical power to the
lowest so that the visual acuity may be 0.5 to 0.6 (20/40 to 20/30, 6/18 to 6/9).
2 Select the astigmatism test chart.
To perform the astigmatism test, select the astigmatism test chart icon on the chart page.
In the near-point test, select the proper target from the near-point card targets manually.

Test eye
When any other item except "binocular" is the last test object,
the status of last test is succeeded. When "binocular" are the
last test object, the right eye of the patient is selected.
