5. OPERATION FOR TESTS
The following settings are automatically changed as shown below.
2 Check the refined status of the right eye.
Adjust the refined status of the right eye on condition that the patient sees the chart bin-
ocularly. Click the [R] button on the control window.
The patient sees the squares arranged in the vertical direction with the right eye and, the
ones in the horizontal direction with the left eye.
First, have the patient compare the characters of the red and green squares in the verti-
cal direction and answer which square the character is seen better, on the red or green
side. When the characters in the red square are seen better, click the "R" button for the
mouse navigation. When the characters in the green square are seen better, click the
"G" button.
In this state, have the patient compare and answer again.
When the characters in the vertical direction are seen almost equally, the refinement of
the right eye is finished.
3 Check the adjusted status of the left eye.
Click the [L] button on the control window.
Following the same procedure as the right eye, have the patient compare the characters
of the squares arranged in the horizontal direction to check the refined status of the left
eye.
When the characters in the horizontal position are seen almost equally, the adjustment
of the left eye is finished.
4 Check the adjusted status of both eyes.
Click the [BINO] button on the control window.
Following the same procedure as mentioned prior, have the patient compare the charac-
ters of the red and green squares in the up-and-down and right-and-left directions to
check the adjusted status of both eyes.
When the characters in the green and red squares are seen almost equally through the
whole process, the test is finished.
