The WCDMA Cell area contains the parameters configuring the WCDMA cell
simulation.
PICH_Ec [dB]
The Paging Indicator Channel (PICH) is a physi-
cal channel with a fixed rate and a spreading
factor of 256. On the PICH upcoming paging
messages on the S-CCPCH are displayed. The UE
must „listen“ to the PICH in order to determine
whether there is an incoming call. If a positive
paging announcement is recognized, the UE
begins to read the S-CCPCH expecting a paging
message.
AICH [dB]
The Acquisition Indicator Channel is a physical
channel with a fixed rate and a spreading factor
of 256 equating to 32 kbps. It transports the
acquisition indicators which correspond to sig-
natures on the Physical Random Access Channel
(PRACH).
OCNS [dB]
Orthogonally coded noise source. The power is
not selectable but is calculated to give the full
power level after adding all the various relative
channel powers.

[On/Off]
Here you can activate or deactivate the orthog-
onally coded noise source.
MCC
The Mobile Country Code is a three-digit num-
ber identifying a given country, e.g. 001. It is
part of the LAI (Location Area Identity) and the
IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity).
MNC
The Mobile Network Code is a three-digit num-
ber identifying a given network within a specific
country. It is part of the LAI (Location Area
Identity) and the IMSI (International Mobile
Subscriber Identity).
URA
The UTRAN Registration Area is an area covered
by a number of cells. It is configured in the
UTRAN (UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network)
and broadcast in the relevant cells.
