PROCEDURE
1 To remove the guide pin, do the steps that follow:
1.1 Attach the fuel pump to the work bench. Make sure that the top of the fuel pump
points down.
1.2 Attach the spindle press (001, Figure 10-8) as shown.
1.3 Turn the spindle of the spindle press (001) to move in the guide piston (004)
sufficiently to remove the guide pin (003).
1.4 Turn the screw (002) to remove the guide pin (003).
1.5 Remove the spindle press (001).

2 To remove the guide piston and roller, do the steps that follow:
2.1 Attach the two eye bolts to the guide piston (004, Figure 10-9)
