7 To assemble the toothed rack, do the steps that follow:
7.1 Turn the fuel pump until the pump cover (004, Figure 10-15) points down.
7.2 Attach the top housing (002) to the work bench.
7.3 Put a new rod sealing ring on the flange (009).
7.4 Make sure the toothed rack (003) moves freely.
7.5 Put the rod sealing rings (006) in each of the two flanges (009).
7.6 Attach the two flanges (009) to the top housing (002) with the two screws (005).
7.7 Attach the stop ring (008) and the circlip (007).
8 To assemble the regulating sleeve, do the steps that follow:
8.1 Move the toothed rack (003) to the position shown.
8.2 Put the spacer spacer on the toothed rack (003).
8.3 Put the regulating sleeve (011) into the top housing (002). Make sure that the
toothed rim points down.
8.4 Make sure that the guide pin (010) goes into the groove in the regulating sleeve
(011).
