Performing an SNMP
SET Command
An SNMP SET command allows you to modify values of SNMP objects in a
network device. You can perform an SNMP SET command on the stack
using the
set
command on the SNMP menu.
CAUTION:
You should not modify the values of SNMP objects unless you
have considerable knowledge and experience with SNMP.
To perform an SNMP SET command on the stack:
1
At the Top-level menu, enter:
snmp set
The following prompt is displayed:
Enter object-identifier:
2
Enter the identifier of the SNMP object.
The following prompt is displayed:
Enter type (phys,ip,gauge,cnt,num,str)[str]:
3
Enter the data type of the SNMP object.
The following prompt is displayed:
Enter value:
4
Enter the new value of the SNMP object.
