Displaying Summary
Trunk Information
You can display summary trunk information about all trunks supported by 
the stack using the 
summary 
command on the Trunk menu.
To display summary trunk information:

At the Top-level menu, enter:
feature trunk summary

The summary trunk information is displayed as shown in the example 
below.
Displaying and 
Changing IP-related 
Information
You can display and change IP-related information for the current Switch 
unit in the stack using the commands on the IP menu. These commands 
allow you to:
■
Specify the IP and SLIP information for the Switch
■
Display the IP information for the Switch
■
Specify whether the Switch uses BOOTP
■
Ping other devices on your network
To display and change IP-related information for another Switch unit in 
the stack, you need to select that unit using the 
unit
 command. For

Specifying IP and SLIP
Information
You can specify IP and SLIP information for the current Switch unit in the 
stack using the 
define
 command on the IP/Interface menu.
To carry out this command for the first time after installing your switch, 
you need to connect a terminal or terminal emulator to the console port 
using a null modem cable. See 
“Setting Up Command Line Interface 
Management”
on 
page 36
 for more information about connecting to the 
console port.
