3. Press Apply Channel Setup.
When the Apply Needed annunciator appears, press the
Apply Channel Setup softkey. The new settings
are not be applied to the signal until this softkey is pressed. This softkey needs to be pressed whenever
you make parameter changes with the AWGN editor table.
4. Set the channel to noise ratio (C/N).
a. Move the cursor to highlight the C/N value field.
b. Press
25 > dB.
NOTE C/N values less than 10 dB may not be visible on a spectrum analyzer.
You have now set the overall carrier to noise ratio to 25 dB and turned on noise. This is done to apply a
discernible level of noise across the entire channel spectrum. Figure 16-42 shows the signal on the PSA
display.
