Cleaning of bowl discs
Handle the bowl discs carefully in order to avoid damage to
the surfaces during cleaning
1 Remove the bowl discs from the distributor and place them
individually in the cleaning agent.
2 Allow the discs to remain in the cleaning agent until the
deposits have been dissolved. This will normally take
between two and four hours.
3 Lastly, clean the discs with a soft brush.
Cleaning of holder for operating slide, operating water
ring and operating slide with nozzle.
Use 10% acetic acid solution to dissolve lime deposits. The
acid should be heated to 80 °C.
Clean the nozzle on the operating slide using a soft iron wire
or a similar object.
A chemical cleaning agent must
dissolve the deposits quickly without
attacking the material of the separator
parts.
Fuel oil sludge mainly consists of
complex organic substances such as
asphaltenes. The most important
property of a cleaning liquid for the
removal of fuel oil sludge is the ability to
dissolve these asphaltenes.

holder and oil pump thoroughly.
