disable shh
Purpose Used to enable SSH.
Syntax disable ssh
Description This command allows you to disable SSH on the Switch.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To disable SSH:
AT-9724TS:4# disable ssh

config shh authmode
Purpose Used to configure the SSH authentication mode setting.
Syntax config ssh authmode [password | publickey | hostbased] [enable | disable]
Description This command will allow you to configure the SSH authentication mode for users attempting to access the
Switch.
Parameters password – This parameter may be chosen if the administrator wishes to use a locally configured password for
authentication on the Switch.
publickey - This parameter may be chosen if the administrator wishes to use a publickey configuration set on a
SSH server, for authentication.
hostbased - This parameter may be chosen if the administrator wishes to use a host computer for
authentication.This parameter is intended for Linux users requiring SSH authentication techniques and the host
computer is running the Linux operating system with a SSH program previously installed.
[enable | disable] - This allows you to enable or disable SSH authentication on the Switch.
