Service policy
Mapping
a policy-map to an interface is called as servicing the police-map. When a policy-map
is serviced to an interface the classes that are created in the policy-map and their
configurations will be instantiated on the interface. The commands show qos chassis
service-policy and show qos chassis [interface-type] [interface-name]
will help in identifying the successful mapping of the policy-map. The show qos chassis
service-policy command lists all the policy-maps that are mapped to all the available
interfaces. When the same command is entered with interface name as “show qos chassis
service-policy [interface-type] [interface-name]”, it will display the policy-maps that are mapped
to that interface on both directions. Show qos chassis interface command displays the policy-
map attached and the classes that are created through the service-policy.
