Configuring a VTP Version 3 Client
When a switch is in VTP client mode, you cannot change the VLAN configuration on the switch. The
client switch receives VTP updates from a VTP server in the management domain and modifies its
configuration accordingly.
To configure the switch as a VTP version 3 client, perform this task in privileged mode:
This example shows how to configure the switch as a VTP version 3 VLAN client and verify the
configuration:
Console> (enable) set vtp mode client vlan
