Section 4 - Advanced WLAN Conguration
ACL
Access Control Lists (ACLs) ensure that only authorized users have access to specic resources while blocking
o any unwarranted attempts to reach network resources. ACLs are used to provide trac ow control, restrict
contents of routing updates, decide which types of trac are forwarded or blocked, and above all, provide
security for the network.
IP ACL
Path: Wireless > ACL > IP ACL
IP Access control Lists (ACLs) allow the network managers to dene classication actions and rules for specic
ports. ACLs are composed of rules that consist of the lters that determine trac classications. An IP ACL consists
of a set of rules which are matched sequentially against a packet. When a packet meets the match criteria of a
rule, the specied rule action (Permit/Deny) is taken and the additional rules are not checked for a match. Rules
for the IP ACL are specied/created using the IP ACL Rule Conguration menu.
To congure IP ACL:
1. Go to Wireless > ACL > IP ACL page.
2. Click Add New IP ACL, ll-in the elds (refer to the table below), and click Save.
