Inspection of instrument cluster
Top up the fuel tank, close all doors, apply the
parking brake, fasten the seat belt, and set the
ENGINE START/STOP button to “ON” position,
with the parking brake held and the engine not
started. The following lamps will always light up:
The following warning lamps and indicator lamps
will be on for a short time and then go out:
Start the engine and release the parking brake.
The above lamps will go out. If any of the lamps
stay on or flash, refer to the instructions for
indicator lamps or warning lamps, and contact
the authorized dealer immediately if you have
any doubt.
ABS fault warning lamp
When the ENGINE START/STOP button is set
to “ON” position, the ABS fault warning lamp will
come on and then go out. It indicates that ABS is
normal.
If the ABS fault warning lamp comes on when
the engine is running or the vehicle is traveling,
the ABS may be abnormal and need repair.
Please go to the authorized dealer immediately
for inspection.
If the ABS is abnormal, the anti-locking function
of brake system will be inoperative. However,
common braking functions will remain normal
(see page for details).
If the brake system warning lamp and ABS fault
warning lamp come on when the parking brake
is released with sufficient brake fluid, it may
indicate that the ABS does not work normally
(see page for details).
Brake system warning lamp
If the brake system warning lamp comes on, it
indicates that the brake fluid level is low or the
brake system is faulty.
When the engine is started, and the parking
brake is released, this lamp goes out. Before
driving, be sure that the brake system warning
lamp is off (see page for details).When the
ENGINE START/STOP button is set to “OFF”
position, this fault warning lamp will stay on for
15s and then go out.
When the engine is running or the vehicle is
traveling, and with the parking brake not applied,
if the brake system warning lamp comes on, it
indicates that the brake fluid level is low.
