If the brake system warning lamp comes on
when the vehicle is traveling, stop the vehicle
rapidly and safely as early as possible. Shut
down the engine, and check the brake fluid level.
In the case of the brake fluid level at or below
the minimum mark on the reservoir, add brake
fluid as required (see page 247 for details).
If the brake fluid is sufficient, please go to the
authorized dealer for brake system check.
● In the case of the brake fluid level below
the minimum mark on the reservoir,
please contact the authorized dealer for
inspection of the brake system before
driving.
● Though the vehicle is considered to be
safe, please use other vehicle to tow it for
fear that any danger would occur during
driving.
● In the event that the service brake pedal
is depressed when the engine is shut
down or the brake fluid level is low, the
braking distance may be increased and
more force is needed to be applied to the
service brake pedal.
Charging fault warning lamp*
For fuel vehicle:
When the ENGINE START/STOP button is set
to “ON” position, the battery fault warning lamp
will come on. If it goes out after the engine is
started, it indicates the charging system is
working properly.
If the battery fault warning lamp comes on when
the engine/vehicle, the charging system may be
faulty and need repair.
If the battery fault warning lamp comes on when
the vehicle is traveling, stop the vehicle safely as
soon as possible. Please shut off the engine and
check the alternator belt. If the alternator belt is
loose, broken or falls off, do not continue to drive
the vehicle and contact an authorized dealer for
inspection and repair.
If the alternator belt looks normal, but the battery
fault warning lamp stays on, please go to the
authorized dealer for charging system check
immediately.
For HEV:
If it goes out after the engine is started, it
indicates the charging system is working
properly.
When the DCDC fails and cannot work normally,
this lamp will come on. In this case, go to the
authorized dealer for inspection and repair.
Traction battery fault warning lamp*
When the traction battery is faulty, this lamp will
come on.
If this lamp comes on during the driving process
of the vehicle, it indicates that the traction battery
system has any fault. In this case, contact an
authorized dealer for inspection as soon as
possible.
/ High/low traction battery
temperature warning lamp*
If the high traction battery temperature warning
lamp (red) comes on after the vehicle has been
running for a period of time, it indicates that the
traction battery temperature is too high. At this
time, check whether there is any debris blocking
the air inlet on the left side of the rear seat; if not,
stop driving the vehicle with safety ensured, wait
for the temperature to drop and the fault warning
lamp goes out before driving the vehicle; if the
fault warning lamp does not go out , it is
recommended to have the vehicle inspected by
an authorized dealer.
When the low traction battery temperature
warning lamp (blue) comes on after cold start, it
indicates that the traction battery temperature is
too low. After the vehicle is driven normally for a
period of time, the battery temperature will rise
and this lamp will go out.
When the high traction battery temperature
warning lamp (red) flashes and the buzzer
sounds, it indicates that the traction battery is in
thermal runaway. In this case, immediately set
the ENGINE START/STOP button to “OFF”
position, get off the vehicle, and contact an
authorized dealer for inspection and repair.
