Conditions where the remote controller fails
to work
The operating distance of the remote controller
depends on the vehicle surroundings, and the
remote controller cannot be used for locking or
unlocking doors under the following conditions:
● The vehicle power switch is at “ACC” or “ON”
position.
● The smart key is outside the operating range
(in case of many obstacles in surroundings).
● Any door is open or closed improperly.
● The smart key battery has run out.
The remote controller might be affected by
electronic accessories added in the vehicle,
such as on-board GPS. Therefore, any
electronic accessory should be added in the
vehicle by the technicians of authorized
dealer only.

locked

Check if one smart key is
left inside the vehicle.
Remove the smart key from
the vehicle and lock the
doors again.
Check if the vehicle power
switch is not set to “OFF”
position.
Set the vehicle power switch
to “OFF” position, and lock
the doors again.
Locking
sound and
then
unlocking
sound can
be heard
during door
locking
Check if the trunk lid is
closed improperly.
Close the trunk lid properly
and lock it again.
Check if any door is closed
improperly.
Close all the doors and lock
them again.
