Increasing vehicle speed
If the ACC is already activated, reset to a higher
speed using one of the following methods:
Press and hold the upper part of round switch
, so the cruising speed increases by 5km/h.
When the vehicle reaches the desired speed,
release the switch.
Press the upper part of round switch ;
each time the switch is pressed, the cruising
speed increases by 1km/h.
Overtaking or running up or down a steep
slope
Before overtaking, depress the accelerator pedal
to speed up (the same as driving at ordinary
times). At this time, the cruising speed indication
on the instrument cluster flashes. After the
accelerator pedal is released, if there is no
vehicle ahead, the vehicle will return to the
preset cruising speed.
The vehicle may not keep running at the set
speed during going up or down a steep slope. In
such cases, the ACC function should be used
carefully.
Deactivating ACC
With the ACC active or suspended, press the
button to deactivate the ACC, then the
ACC indicator lamp on the instrument cluster
display will go out.
To use the function again, you need to turn it on
and activate it again.
NOTE
It is normal that you may hear a braking
sound during ACC activation.
Limitations of ACC
The radar and camera sensors of ACC have a
limited detection range. In some cases, the
sensors may fail to detect the lead vehicle or
may delay detection of the lead vehicle.
The following sensor detection problems may
occur and result in delayed response of ACC or
unintended braking:
