● The camera performance will be affected
and degraded when the lighting
conditions around the vehicle are poor
(insufficient or too strong light).
● The radar or camera detection may be
limited and thus the AEB performance in
the case of vehicle collision, violent
vibration and other situations that may
change the radar and camera positions.
● The AEB performance may be limited
when the internal temperature of the radar
or camera is too high.
● The AEB performance may be limited
when fogging of the camera inside the
windshield occurs.
● In a curve, the AEB system may
misidentify a vehicle in another lane
ahead or fail to recognize a vehicle in the
ego lane, resulting in unexpected braking
or failure to brake in time. The driver
should keep a safe driving distance, and
be ready to take action or brake at any
time.
● The AEB system may not function when a
vehicle’s accessories or loads protrude to
the side, rear or top beyond the edges.
● The AEB system may apply the brakes
when the vehicle passes over a low
bridge or height pole.
● The AEB system may apply the brakes
when the vehicle passes through speed
bump or steel plate road, or is close to
rails or roadside objects (such as isolation
strips, transformers, and traffic signs).
AEB system fault
When the vehicle is running normally, if the AEB
fault warning lamp on the instrument
cluster stays on and the instrument cluster
display shows “AEB fault”. This indicates that
the AEB is faulty and the AEB system fails to
work. Please go to an authorized dealer for
inspection or repair.
The AEB system will not work in the following
cases:
● The AEB fault warning lamp or AEB OFF
indicator lamp on the instrument cluster
lights up;
● The ESC system is working (the ESC can
be easily triggered when the vehicle is
running on bumpy roads, or
accelerating/decelerating on slippery
roads);
● The ESC is faulty;
● The vehicle is reversing;
● The accelerator pedal is depressed to
more than 80% of the stroke;
● The vehicle is accelerating rapidly or
turning sharply, or the steering wheel is
quickly turned;
● There is an oncoming vehicle in the same
lane;
● The driver's seat belt is not fastened;
● One door is opened.
● A front passenger is detected and the
seat belt is not fastened;
● The wiper is operating at high speed;
● The sensor of vehicle speed, accelerator
pedal or brake pedal is faulty;
● The sensor system is faulty;
● The vehicle speed reduction in an AEB
process has reached 60km/h (50km/h for
models with single sensor);
● Within 10s after the end of the last AEB
process.
