Function activation conditions
The LDW function can be used only when the
following conditions are met:
● There is detectable road information such as
lane marking/curb/shoulder on both sides or
one side of the ego lane;
● The vehicle speed is 60-150 km/h;
● The vehicle is driving on a straight or slightly
curved road;
● The turn signal lamp and hazard warning
lamp are not on;
● The vehicle is shifted into a forward gear;
● The vehicle is moving smoothly and the
driver does not turn the steering wheel
sharply, faster or with greater force.
Function setting
● The LDW function can be turned on or off
through “CarCenter” – “Driving assistance” –
“LKA” in MP5 display.
Function failure
When the vehicle is driving normally, if the LDW
fault indicator lamp (red) on the instrument
cluster lights up, it means the LDW function is
faulty and will not work.
If this fault indicator lamp remains on upon self-
learning of the system during driving for a period
of time after the engine is restarted, contact
Dongfeng Franchise Stores for inspection as
soon as possible.
When the vehicle is started after the battery cable is
disconnected, if the LDW function has been set in
the MP5, the LDW fault indicator lamp may come
on. In this case, drive the vehicle for a period of
time, and the fault indicator lamp will go out
automatically after self-learning of the system.
● The lane departure warning system is only an
auxiliary system and cannot actively control your
car to change lanes or keep it in the lane. It is
your responsibility to always check the road
conditions and actively control the vehicle.
● Protect the system camera against strong
impact, moisture or heat; and it is forbidden to
remove and refit any part without authorization.
● To ensure normal operation of the system,
please make sure that there is no dirt, ice, snow
or other obstructions on the top surface of the
outside of the windshield.
● Do not tint or apply coatings that do not meet the
specifications on the front windshield of the
vehicle. Any additional items that affect the field
of view of the system camera may affect the
normal operation of the system.
● If the system camera is affected by the external
environment and cannot detect the lane
information or the function activation conditions
are not met, when the vehicle deviates from the
lane, the system does not take any action.
● The operation of the A/V system in the vehicle or
the noise outside the vehicle may prevent you
from hearing the warning beeps. Thus, try to
avoid these sounds and focus on observing the
road conditions.
● When the vehicle passes through road sections
with complicated lanes (intersection/suddenly
changed lane markings/converging lane
markings, etc.), the lane information may not be
detected for a short time. Please maintain control
of the vehicle.
