The indicator lamp ① on the exterior rearview
mirror will come on in the following cases:
● The ENGINE START/STOP button is set
from “OFF” to “ON”, and the system conducts
the self-test.
● The target vehicle is in the blind spot for
more than a certain period of time.
When the warning lamp on the exterior rearview
mirror comes on and the corresponding turn
signal lamp is turned on to change the lane, the
instrument buzzer will sound, and the warning
lamp on the exterior rearview mirror will flash to
remind people of driving safety.
● In strong sunlight, it may be difficult to see
the indicator lamp on the exterior rearview
mirror.
● When the environment is noisy, it may be
difficult to hear the buzzer sound of
warning the vehicles approaching behind
on both sides.
● The LCW system may not be able to
respond quickly when the relative speed
of the vehicle approaching behind is too
high.
Enabling/disabling LCW
● The LCW function can be turned off/on
through the “CarCenter” - “Driving
assistance” - “Rear side warning assist” -
“LCW” menu on the LCD touch screen of the
MP5 system.
Function activation conditions
When the LCW function is triggered, the
indicator lamp on the exterior rearview mirror on
the corresponding side lights up.
To trigger the LCW function, the following
conditions shall be met:
● All vehicles must travel in the same direction.
● The speed of the ego vehicle shall be
15km/h~140km/h.
● When the vehicle actively overtakes the
target vehicle, the relative speed of the
vehicle to the target vehicle is small.
● The transmission is not in P or R position.
● The road must be unobstructed.
● When being overtaken, the vehicle behind
shall be in the blind spot of the ego vehicle.
● The vehicles shall travel on straight or slightly
curved roads.
