Preparation before driving
● Pretensioner seat belt cannot be reused
after activation, and it must be replaced
together with retractor and buckle.
● If the pretensioner does not deploy in a
collision, please contact the authorized
dealer to check the pretensioner system
and replace it when necessary.
● Unauthorized modification to any
component or circuit of the pretensioner
seat belt is not allowed. This is to prevent
the pretensioner from deploying
accidentally, or prevent the pretensioner
seat belt from damaging.
● Repair of pretensioner seat belt and its
components should be carried out by the
authorized dealer. Do not modify or cut off
the SRS circuit. Do not apply any
unapproved electrical testing equipment
and detection instrument to the
pretensioner seat belt system, which may
cause deployment of the pretensioner. If
you have to handle the pretensioner seat
belt or scrap the vehicle, please contact
the authorized dealer. Improper disposal
may result in personal injury.
Inspecting seat belt reliability
The seat belt retractor will lock the seat belt
when:
● the seat belt is pulled out from the retractor
rapidly;
● the vehicle is decelerating rapidly;
● the seat belt retractor inclines excessively.
To check the reliability of the seat belt, hold the
shoulder belt and pull it quickly to check if the
retractor can lock the seat belt. If the retractor
fails to lock the seat belt, please go to an
authorized dealer for inspection or repair.
Maintenance of seat belts
Regularly check the seat belt and its
components (such as buckle, latch plate,
retractor, webbing, and seat belt height adjuster)
for normal function.
If seat belt component damage, webbing crack
or other damage is found, replace the entire seat
belt assembly. Any dirt on the guide ring of the
upper part of seat belt will reduce the retracting
speed of seat belt. If this occurs, please wipe it
clean with a piece of clean dry cloth.
Use neutral soap or solution suitable for cleaning
interior trims and carpets to clean the seat belt
webbing, and after cleaning, dry it naturally.
Never get the seat belt retracted before it is
completely dry for fear of retractor damage.
Maintenance and scrapping of seat belts
Please get the seat belt inspected as soon as
possible when:
● a frontal collision occurs but the seat belt
pretensioner does not work.
● the seat belt retractor and its peripheral parts
are scratched, cracked or otherwise
damaged.
Please get the seat belt inspected or repaired at
an authorized dealer.
When the seat belt retractor needs to be
scrapped, always follow relevant safety
