Disabled persons are required to fasten the seat
belts when riding. Please consult the doctor for
professional suggestions.
Pretensioner and load limiter of seat belt*
The pretensioner seat belt with load limiter works
together with the frontal airbag. When a serious
collision occurs, the pretensioner will quickly
tension the seat belt to restrain the occupant
steadily on the seat; when the seat belt tension
force exceeds a certain limit, the load limiter will
loosen the seat belt appropriately to relieve the
pressure on the occupant's chest, so as to
prevent the occupant from being injured by a too
tight restraint force and thereby improve the
protection effect.
NOTE
When the pretensioner is triggered, it is
normal to hear a loud noise accompanied by
smoke. Such smoke should be avoided from
being inhaled, as it will irritate the respiratory
tract of patients with respiratory disease and
induce asphyxia. Therefore, once the airbag
is deployed, get off the vehicle as soon as
possible and go a place with fresh air.
WARNING
All passengers in the vehicle are required
to fasten the seat belt when the vehicle is
running. For children, please select
appropriate child restraint system, and
install it to either of the outboard rear
seats.
Ensure that the upper part of the seat belt
fits closely with and crosses over the
shoulder and chest, and do not put it
across the back or under the arm. When
laying the seat belt through the shoulder,
bypass the face and neck but ensure that
the seat belt will not slip off from the
shoulder. If the seat belt is not fastened
properly, serious injury may ensue.
If the seat belt is placed under the arm,
serious personal injury may be caused ,
because in the event of a collision, the
body of passenger may move forward
excessively, increasing the possibility of
injury to the head and neck, and most
stress of the seat belt will act on the rib on
one side and thereby causes injury.
Never twine the seat belt during use.
Otherwise, the stress exerted by the seat
belt on the human body will increase,
reducing the protection effect of seat belt.
Never insert a substitute of latch plate into
the buckle to eliminate the seat belt
alarm.
Never allow more than one passenger to
share a seat belt, as one seat belt is
intended for use by one passenger only. If
the seat belt is fastened on the child
sitting on the passenger's leg, serious
injury may be caused in the event of a
collision.
The body size of children is too small to
use the seat belt of vehicle, as the upper
part of seat belt is too close to the head
and neck, and thus it can not protect the
child effectively and may even cause
serious injury to the child in the event of
an accident. Therefore, always use the
booster seat or child restraint system
suitable for child’s body size and seat.
Never modify the seat belt in any way;
otherwise effective retraction of the slack
belt will be impeded.
Replace the seat belt in case of wear or
damage of webbing.
If a collision occurs, get the seat belt
assembly, including retractors and
buckles, inspected by the authorized
dealer, and have it replaced in time if
necessary.
Once the seat belt pretensioner acts, it
can no longer be used, and the seat belt
assembly should be replaced.
Replacement and installation of seat belt
system components should be carried out
by the authorized dealer.
